Our Location

The team at Northern Virginia Adolescent Treatment Center serves families throughout the state of Virginia. Our primary service areas include: 

• Alexandria 
• Arlington County 
• Fairfax County 
• Falls Church 
• Loudoun County 
• Prince William County 

While many of our patients come from these areas, we are also able to serve young people from other communities throughout Virginia. 

We have created a welcoming, calming environment where patients can experience the comforts of home while receiving the support they need throughout their recovery journeys. 

Our 16-bed building is designed to foster a sense of safety and community. The campus features a circular layout surrounding a small central courtyard, offering an intimate setting as opposed to the institutional feel of many other rehab centers. 

All essential services are located within the same building, including: 

• Patient rooms 
• Dining areas 
• Programming and therapy spaces 
• Recreation areas 

We aim to help patients feel safe and comfortable while they build connections with peers and receive well-rounded care from our staff. 

Our vision is to be a place where any adolescent who comes through our doors in need of treatment doesn’t have to fear being turned away. We achieve this mission through a unique funding structure with Fairfax County, Virginia, that allows for flexibility so that patients can be admitted despite possible insurance limitations. In doing so, we are able to ensure that our focus remains on providing essential, clinically excellent care for young people and their families during challenging times. Our primary goal is to remain a steady, reliable source of effective, accessible treatment for all adolescents in need of behavioral healthcare. 

Chantilly, Virginia, is a suburban community in Fairfax County, about 25 miles west of Washington, D.C., and just a few miles from Dulles International Airport. With access to major highways, it is easily accessible for families, making it convenient for family involvement and weekend visits. This accessibility encourages families to be actively involved in their child’s care while providing patients with enough distance from unhealthy peer influences and familiar triggers. 

Chantilly is known for its family-friendly environment and often ranks highly on lists of desirable places to live for families, making it an ideal location for adolescents to receive residential care.
